Ador Svitak

Ador Svitak had many valid points during her speech about what adults can learn from kids. Many teenagers are very underestimated and adults do not see the potential teenagers or even young children have. For example Ador mentions a little boy raising an incredible amount of money just by riding his bike and Anne Frank, a young girl who touched millions by her stories. Ador also mentions that teachers should learn from students rather than students learning from teachers. I agree with this statement because students have good points and ideas that should be heard in class. The next generation of adults will end up being smarter than this generation of adults because that is just the way it is and that is the reason we aren't in the dark ages anymore. In result teenagers and children should be taken more seriously because they have things to say and have potential to do great things.

The definition of  being a best friend to me is someone who you don't have to impress and where you can just be yourself. A best friend isn't going to judge you or make fun of you and they are someone who will support you no matter what.

Perspective of a mirror

I am something that everyone looks into everyday. People find me helpful and they use me on a daily basis. Although I cant talk I can create various emotions from people.  Some people are happy after they have looked into me and others are horrified. I wish I could show everyone what they want to see but no one ever seems content with what I show them. I can not please everyone but I try my best. I come in all shapes and sizes and I am located in almost every room. I can not move myself so I rely on being cleaned and kept sanitary from others. I am not living so I cant talk but I can see everything. Being a mirror is not easy because few people look happy when they see me so I always feel guilty.

Enthusiasm in Learning

The things that make me enthusiastic about learning is when I am interested in the topic. It is hard to focus and try your best when the subject you are learning is boring. Also it makes it easier for the student to be enthusiastic for the subject if the teacher is too because it helps the student get more involved and want to learn more. In addition it is easier for me to be interested in a subject if the teacher teaches class in all sorts of way. For example it helps by switching up the class schedule  so one day we could watch a movie, have a class discussion, and work in groups. That way it mixes up the learning environment and makes class more interesting.

Courage

 Courageous acts are not only risking your life but it can also be small things that may frighten you at first. Courage comes in all shapes and sizes and it helps people face their fears. An experience I have had with courage is driving for the first time. My initial thought was worrying if I was going to get in an accident and then in result getting my permit taken away. I was nervous at first because it was all new to me but shortly after driving for awhile I realized all it took was practice. Driving is something mostly everyone does and it is a big responsibility which was why I felt nervous at first but once driving for the first time I felt accomplished and was happy I did it.
